Jordie Shier is currently pursuing a master’s degree in computer science and music at the University of Victoria in Canada. He began research in this area at the end of his bachelor’s degree and has since presented work at the Workshop in Intelligent Music Production and AES NYC. Between degrees he was a business partner in the online music education start-up One Up Drum Vids, partnering with Drumeo in the production of two series of educational drumming videos as well as a mobile app for kids. In addition to this he loves to aimlessly turn knobs on synthesizers, as well as to produce and perform electronic music.
