Mike is a synthesizer geek. Mike works as an independent consultant specializing in product development for audio, musical instruments, professional audio/video, and USB. Mike worked for Roland in R&D for 22 years. He has also contributed to audio or music projects for Yamaha, Apple, Microsoft, Nintendo, NASA, and the US Coast Guard. He is a member of the Technical Standards Board of the MIDI Manufacturers Association, Chairman of the MIDI-CI Working Group, and Editor of MIDI 2.0 specifications. He is on the Advisory Committee for the Bachelor of Arts in Music and Sound Design and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Digital Audio degrees at Digipen University.
