Jose Diaz
I'm a second year graduate student at NYU, concentrating on signal processing and effects design. Currently, I'm working on my Master's thesis—an open source distortion and dynamic range compression plugin. In documenting this process I hope to connect effects design and audio engineering literature in a way that they currently are not.
Previously, I was a recording engineer, working with clients such as Ethan Allen and Nickelodeon, as well as indie rock bands such as Versing and Chastity Belt.
